Picks for Gulfstream Sunday:
R1 #6 Another Brianna-Keeps the bug boy and stretches out off the claim. The lead is there for the taking, so the bug boy will probably send and hang on for dear life.
R2 #1 Pass Play-Looks tough here as he is actually dropping in class off his last win. He’ll take this if he runs anywhere near back to that effort.
R3 #1 Get On Track-Will likely establish a clear lead again. If not pressed too much she’ll be tough to overhaul.
R4 #1 Enchanting Melody-Has decent turf breeding, and the barn is having an outstanding meet.
R5 #6 Coles True Girl-May contend for the lead against this bunch. Not much else to like here.
R6 #6 Skiff’s Angel-Weakened badly after making a move on an honest pace last time out. There’s a good chance that she’ll see an uncontested lead today.
R7 #7 Valor’s Star-Looks tough against this bunch.
R8 #13 Turntwo-Barn does pretty well with claimed runners. Definitely has the breeding to handle the surface/distance. Worth a shot at double digit odds.
R9 #4 Russian Bay-Showed some promise as a 3yo last year before going on the shelf. Last one was a forgettable prep race, he should move forward some here.
R10 #3 Guns Drawn-Barn is able with layoff types, and with first-turf/dirt-turf types. Should be a contender here.
