Here are some of Bob Pandolfo's free 'Horses To Watch' at The Meadowlands for this weekend, with a few comments and odds. I include low-odds horses so we can think twice about betting against them, and we can always pass a race, right?
Friday
------
Race 3: Real Mean Art -- won a nw2 in fast time @ 1/5, steps into stakes, but only @ 2/1 as part of entry. Post 1.
Race 8: Crazy Character -- long lead, fast pace, held well for third, but beware. Very rough last time. Morning line is 5/2. Post 9.
Race 11: Partial Sunshine -- Brushed 3-wide to lead, distant second. Good news? Real Mean Art was the winner. 7/2. Post 7.
Saturday
--------
Race 6: John Adams -- Parked early on hot pace, tipped out but was swallowed up after early exertion. 12/1. Post 10.
Race 8: Three to watch in here:
Nuclear Breeze -- Ceded lead from inside in wicked quarter, first over at half, easy winner. 5/2. Post 2.
Winfall Nasty -- Big first-over brush from 5th into hot pace to co-lead, never got to rail, led stretch, faded. 10/1. Post 7.
Andreoli Hanover -- Sent on supersonic pace, pocket behind a good one, held on for 3rd. 12/1. Post 9.
Race 10: Two to watch:
Blissed Out -- Sent on wicked pace, well clear, gamely held for win. 9/2. Post 4.
RJ's Wild Card -- Led and denied the rail to the first-over horse, fast third quarter, held for second behind pocketsitter. 5/1. Post 8.
Sunday
-------
Race 1:
Mauro Hanover -- Parked almost entirely without cover, 3-wide on backstretch, 2-wide on turn, understandably came up empty in stretch. 6/1. Post 7.
Race 6:
J M Rocketman -- 4th over, bad cover, 3-wide turn, decent late pace. 2/1. Post 5.
