Who has said they did not like the way he looked?. The question is "what type of 3yo's did he look so good against?". Nobody will ever really know that. There's been a 1/2 dozen 3yo's that looked equally good winning their races. Lawyer Ron, Barbaro, Brother Derek to name a few. Even Baffert's horse in the Winstar "looked good". :cool:

reading the chapter how to handicap (almost wrote how to win, two different things..) the kentucky derby in the best of thoroughbred handicapping by quinn. it talk about evaluating the candidates by their dosage figures. where do you find the dosage data on our kentucky derby runners?

i found it, info was in another thread here. C-J DERBY DATA TRACK at http://c-jonline.com/derby/ will give a ton of data on all the horses.

I was with Jim Quinn in Reno when he won with Charismatic. I had him to win due to the fact that he was the only horse in the Derby that had broken a track record. Jim had him due to the overlay price. Jim is great in maiden & stakes races. I also think he may be right on Discrete Cat. This is going to be a great betting race. Unlike other handicappers I think this is a very high quality Derby with many good horses. Good Luck.
