Missing Data

I have noticed some interesting omissions in Results and Charts.

TSN charts usually have one or two races missing each day. (One or three total races for the day, not from each track. They may be the last race or any other race. like WO on Sat was missing the second race.

EQB Results Charts: the new ones: on Sat the download for All Races that day, does not include all the races for several tracks, including WO and AQU, where only one race comes up. All the races are there individually, just not the d/l for all races.

Have others noted this problem, or am I alone in being picked on?:confused:

They've had a lot go missing lately. The GP ones are all there now, but the 1st at Laurel on the 25th and 2nd at Tampa on the 31st are still not there. I actually ended up just doing them by hand from another site....seems like some quality control issues going on all of a sudden.

What possible reason would the data provider monopoly have for omitting vital information on purpose? Would you elaborate?

None. Just being paranoid. Its just odd when a very reliable service suddenly begins to behave very shoddily.

Could the reason be they are trying to catch people (offshore sites?) that are reproducing the data on other sites? If the same info is missing, they have the answer.

There's a better way to do that though....I think its called a canary trap method. Alter one or two different words in each document on each site and see what version, BRIS, DRF, Equibase...is showing up. I think they've just been sloppy for whatever reason

I downloaded these BRIS charts late Monday Night and the races were all included.

I normally wait 1, sometimes 2 days after the races were run to download chart files, so that any missing updates are included, night cards are finished, etc. For what it's worth.
