Picks for Aqueduct Saturday:
R1 #3 Colonial Silver-Returns to winning distance and the blinkers come back off. Nice drill since forgettable route try.
R2 #8 Flip De Lite-More than likely he bounced off his good comeback effort. May possibly clear this field, but he has run well without the lead in the past.
R3 #6 Saratoga Jet-Showed improvement early and late figwise in 2nd start. Has some noteworthy drills for this and another forward move should put him in contention here.
R4 #1a That’s a Given-Gets blinkers today to try to solve his gate problems. I like his entrymate some too.
R5 #3 At First Blush-Seems to be going in good form right now and will surely get an honest pace to run at here.
R6 #7 Strikeuptheblues-Failed in his initial attempt at the route distance, but didn’t run badly. Might get a good trip here and the one turn route may help some.
R7 #9 Blutarsky-Ran some competitive sprint figs when he ran shorter races last year. Notable drill for comeback, and he should be a decent price here.
R8 #4 Funny Cide-Lack of early pace may work in his favor. Gets decent speed jock Migliore today and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the lead.
R9 #3 Fire Hero-Gets a big barn upgrade here. Should have an honest pace to run at here too.
