I had a worm knock out the drivers for my norton firewall.
What good is it?
Is the AVG Firewall any better?

The free version of AVG is just an anti virus program. You have to buy the upgrade to get the firewall. A one year license (http://www.grisoft.com/doc/pricelist/lng/us/tpl/tpl01?prd=afw) is about $50 bucks.

I prefer the combination of Zonealarm and AVG (along with spybot and adaware). These are all free programs and can be downloaded here (http://www.download.com/3101-20-0-1.html?tag=pop). Do a search through the popular download list as their position changes.

I run Linux 97% of the time. For that small percentage that I need windoz, I have found the above combination of software pretty reliable and they don't suck resources like Norton/Symantec.
