"ACHILLES OF TROY broke slowly, was outrun early, raced wide on the second turn, had no response when put to the whip and was vanned off after the finish."

Many BIG NAMES expected BIG THINGS from the TROJAN today.

Wonder if it was a (ACHILLES) tendon injury.

OUCH

The reports are it is a sore right front leg. He stumbled coming out of the gate, which really put him in bad shape from the start, so perhaps he did it right there. I was going to give him a mulligan for that one, but we'll have to see how sore he really is. I singled him in the pick six and had the other 5. Hope his ouch is much less than mine.....

Always thought one of the hallmarks of a good rider is to NOT push an animal when it was not necessary. AGAINST this field, this one towered over, it was good a stakes "workout," and the rider understood that.

A little more seasoning and maturity is needed. If the next fews steps are well thought out, this one might be something the first Satruday in May.

Karl Popper got it right.
