I know I'm going to take a hit for this post you guys, but I really am serious and would like to know.

I copied one of these little "smiles" off one of the posts, I believe it was on off topic, I can't remember whose post it was.

I pasted it on an email I sent to a friend.
She called me and asked me, "what's up with the little laughing smiley"?
I asked what she meant....she told me....."well, I clicked on it and came up with porn sites". At first I didn't believe her, but she was serious.

Does anyone know why this happened? Seriously?
Thanks in advance,

so.cal.fanYour computer might be infected and it has nothing to do with the smiley...

Would it be my computer or her computer?
I have good protection software, my computer is only used by me, and I never go to "suspect sites".
Her computer has gone bad a few times, because her son frequents porn sites and other odd websites.

I just sent myself an email with a copied smiley pasted on it.
Clicked on it, nothing happened.
I'm wondering if it's my friend's computer, because I have sent these before and no problems????

No, I believe her, she is very sharp gal, a police officer with the L.A.P.D. actually. However, several people use her computer.....lots of teenage kids in the house all the time........their computer has crashed a few times, I'll tell her she had better check for a virus.
I just ran a virus check on mine....it's okay.
