I read a rumor that David Carr was going to the Raiders for MTui, others, and draft picks, but 24 hours later, NOTHING has happened, so I'm wondering ... is Fred Edelstein still out there mongering somewhere? :D

It seems every NFL hack throws something out Oakland's way in the hopes it sticks. None of the writers really know what goes on behind the iron curtain Al Davis has erected around Alameda. I recall prior to Gruden's hiring Peter King was reporting Bill Billichek (sp?) was the Al Davis choice and Gruden was heading back to Philly. All the while Gruden was in Alameda working a contract to become head coach.
