KD will now be The Kentucky Derby Presented By Yum! Brands. Yummy! :jump:
I always wanted KFC to be the first to besmirch the KD, as in:
The Kentucky Fried Derby. Others:
The Indianapolis Fortune 500.
The World Sirius.
The Campbell's Souper Bowl.
The Taco Bellmont Stakes.
The Epson Printers Derby.
The Grey Goose Cup.
The Iditapod.

If Met Life sponsored the Met Mile, at least they wouldn't have to change the name.

Hey, remember the "reality" show about owning a horse? It was awful when the horse in the final came with a winning move and the announcer (Trevor?) called the "owner's" name instead of the horse's? I wonder how much dough was involved in that one? :faint:
Elmer's Glue Derby

The Laura Nyra Memorial Mile. For those who resent true talent, or need current "superstars" mentioned all the time, how about the Nyra Sedgwick Mile? For a few runnings, anyway?
Nyra my God to thee. :D :bang:

Old Crow presents ... The Sub-bourbon Handicap
I thought sure that you of all people would have a comment about toetoe's "World Sirius" in order to give credit where credit was due, such as suggesting that the full name be "The Ring Lardner World Sirius"
