Hi,

I have got a big question concerning payouts from Pinnacle. I was playing Mountaineer today.....I know they were running at night, but here in Cal it started at 4pm. Anyway, I was playing exactas. I was playing $1 tickets. So when I hit an exacta, the payoffs show for a $2 bet....so in the 7th I hit the exacta and was expecting to get half of $78.60 for my one dollar bet. But pinnacle paid me $78.00. I went back and checked, to make sure I only bet $1 tickets, and I was right.....so the question is....What happened?
Why the larger payout. I did notice that the odds that were displayed on the pinnacle site were not the same as listed at the track.

Any ideas what happened?

Never mind. I figured out how to check on the bets I made today, and found that the way I structured my tickets, I ened up with 2 one dollar tickets covering the winners. :jump: Thus the complete payout.

Sorry, My degree of accuracy was a bit off. I just typed 78.00...I did get the correct payoff. All is well in Pinnacle world, at least for me. I know there has been some criticisim of them, but so far my experiences have been just fine.

Had a great day at Philadelphia today playing just exactas...33% ROI...

What does it mean, when I look in the mirror...and it's not me looking back?

I do have a legit question. The rebates that are paid by Pinnacle, they are based on what?

Good job at PHA today !

The rebates are based on your betting volume. For every $100 you bet they rebate you $7 whether you win or lose. You'll need that rebate playing exactas at Philly, I believe the takeout is close to 30%

Just so no one thinks I'm shooting my mouth off, I got my clock cleaned at Gulfstream today. Not bad, but ROI from today needs a transfusion. :D

$78.60 + 7% * $2 = $78.74 ;)

Actually it's 7.52 percent, since 7 percent of 7 percent is 0.49%, and 7 percent of 0.49 is 0.03%

(I'm sure someone will calculate this to infinity by the end of this thread).

I am working on that. I think I'm about half way to infinity but I am not sure.

The rebates are based on the amount of money wagered each day. Last I knew they were only paying 4% on AQU, BEL and SAR though.
