Does anyone have details on the outcome of the recently completed "World Series of Handicapping Contest" at the Orleans Hotel Casino in Vegas? I believe there were about 750 entries costing $1,000 each. The Orleans website has yet to give an update.

Moving this out of off-topic.....it's about horse racing and/or handicapping, isn't it?

I looked around and could'nt find a thing. Something tells me that its going to be on Television and they're witholding the results and events under a contractual agreement with the Broadcaster.

Much Like the WSOP was.

Winning total was around 2600 points. Second place missed by just $1 payoff....ouch...Winner got $375k..

Was a pretty tough contest as there were few longshots that everybody shoots for

I was there, finished about mid-pack. As someone already noted, there were not many longshots in the 3 day event. Winner had about 600 points less than the winner last year. I had a bevy of longshots running well to finish 3rd and 4th. But I am sure many others did as well.

It was a well run tournament and a tremendous amount of fun. It was my first trip to Vegas, and hopefully not my last. I did notice a couple of celebrity names there. Ralph Sciroco finished out of the money although he was near the top on the first day. Richard Eng finished in the money around 15th or so as I recall.

Thanks Richie. Vegas was a blast. It was my first time. Fortunately, I did very well in my daily play while I was there. Wish it would have carried over to my tournament selections. I only hope to improve with experience.
