know for "mustang sally" and "in the midnight hour."

Nice music at some of the older clubs. and, for that matter, younger ones too.

He was great. Midnight Hour was out when I married my first ex-wife....seems like a lifetime ago.

If you've ever been in a club, then you know MUSTANG SALLY will get the girls on the dance floor. They like that song. So will In the midnight hour, at least in Louisiana! :D :D :D

Wilson Pickett was great. My favorite was "634-5789".

For anyone learning the guitar back in the 60's he was one of the big three everyone learned - "Gloria", "Louie, Louie", and "In the Midnight Hour." ;) And also "Mustang Sally."

C'mon, y'all. Sing along if you know the numbers. :(

Nice picture of Django R., by the way.

toetoe,

Yea, he kind of looks like William Powell in that shot. Django was one of the best twangers.

Ah,yes; William P., star of Hammett's "The Thin Man." Props to Myrna and Asta, too.

It must be said ... He also resembles John Hillerman, star of (gulp!) Bellisario's "Magnum." (Hi guys. :bang: :bang: ) I always thought he was Tony Hillerman's brother, but no idea.
