Ellis has an odd chute that runs into the turn.

The 1 mile race at Ellis Park has a very strange configuration. The diagram in the DRF shows it starts out of a chute on the back stretch and it is not a true 2 turn race. In the past inside speed horses have had a big advantage at this distance.

In todays 1st race one of the outside horses will be a heavy favorite. #7 will be ridden by J. Court the top rider at Ellis for several years. Could be a play against with a couple of inside speed horses in the race.
