Shareware

Going on the previous thread I was wondering if Shareware is still around?

I know in the 80's when the personal computer was new lots of programs

were available including horse racing. Is this still active or has the honor

system failed? I know I got a few programs and actually did send the progra

mmer money.

I just loaded CCleaner on a friends computer today (a utility to clean crap off of the disk). This was shareware. Of course Microsoft would do anything to discourage it.

There's tons of shareware and freeware out there....some people still believe in the original concept of the internet (well, the non-military one, at least....lol)
