I learned how to handicap at that track! It was a great place. Afternoon racing, laid back atmosphere, girls in bikini tops all over the place ! 80% of the crowd would be drunk! Hail storms, tornadoes, so many memories ! Trams would carry you from your car to the track entrance through a muddy parking lot. There were people selling tipsheets all up and down the road on the way to the track! Jockeys would talk to you as they went from the paddock to the track. It was great. Too bad it didn't last. Some races were so bad that not even one horse had ever run fast enough to get higher than a ZERO Beyer figure! I guess Trinity is the reason I play only small tracks today for the most part.

I live about a mile from the track. Went to Del Mar in 96 to watch Cigar race in the Pacific Classic and when I got back in town it was boarded up. Great memories.

what are the tramps of burden? i'm confused! if you mean white trash types...unfortunately ...yeah, they were in bikini tops too....just have to overlook that!

I went there for the Breeder's Cup one year, I think the year Inside Information and Cigar won. It wasn't a bad little place.
