A few races of note on the Derby trail this weekend. The third race at GS Sat. Western Slam goes against another Pletcher horse on my watch list, Keyed Entry, and 8 others. Should be a good race. Aren't they all! Then the Aventura at a mile is the seventh race. This race has produced Derby runners in the past. As it turns out 6 of the horses on my watch list are running in this race:My Golden Song, D'Broken Speed, Catcominatcha, Itsallboutthechase, Dixie Swinger, and Little Cliff. You never want this to happen in the Road To The Roses contest, and I try to spread my horses in that contest over the country so they won't come together like this. But, its early and at least several will be eliminated from my list early on. Up in NY you have the Count Fleet. Not much there for me at this time. I would lean toward Hi It's Me and Achilles of Troy. The PP's for the San Miguel out west are not posted yet. That's it for now - Comments?
