New Brasilian Jockey?

I noticed W. De Oliveira riding in the 1st at SA today. As he (she?) rode for A. C. Avila, I'm wondering whether he/she is Brasilian. Actually hit the board for fourth.

Wanderley. That is SO Brasilian, as is the decision to start out in Florida, as close as possible to home.

I check the ARM it says he was born in Rio De Janeiro.
In 1952.

This guy is little, the 4 foot and change catagory.
His style is to hold them back and make a late run.
He was on low end the jockey colony pole at CRC.
