His full name is: William L. Scott, and the rating name is "performance class" which takes into account all the past pacelines of the horse. Just another figure...sometimes it works, and today it didn't.
I must add that I went to early bird wagering and just before closing the 7 horse in the first race was all the way down to 8/5 :confused:

Thanks. That Scott I have heard of, although I haven't read the book (another one to add to the list of books to read).

The public also decided to toss the last race. It turns out the track handicapper was right and we were wrong. Not often you see that high of ML odds get bet down so far...
