1) #4 Under House Arrest -Dropping in from state bred msw to 40K claimers should be to his liking. Hopefully there is enough speed in the race to soften up the 5 horse Smoke Dreams who could very well "Smoke" this field.

2) #7 Pure Incentive - Draws outside all the other speed, should sit the trip and pounce. The 2 is the fastest of this bunch, could she take a step backwards off that comeback race? Must deal with the 3 & 6 on the front end.

3) 3 horse race with the 2,5,8. Anything else would be a major upset imo. I would lean towards the 2 & 8 simply cuz the 5 usually finds a way to lose.

4) #7 Sensational Score - I like to see route foundation on the turf with 1st & 2nd time starters & then go long on the main track. Has shown the ability to rate which should be an asset here. Blinkers are going on which can't hurt.

5) #2 Driven By Excess - Looking for a big run out of this one today. Stuck on the far outside last time showing speed 4 wide and weakened to finish 6 of 8 beaten 12 3/4. Draws inside today & should be able to show his true stuff.

6) #4 Captain Squire - Let's see if he can take these gate to wire. Looks very much like a prep for The Tin Man. The only others I see are #5 Fullbridled & #8 We All Love Aleyna who could get to the Capt if he weakens late.

7)The California Breeders Champion Stakes
Tough race from my point of view. I am going to go ahead and make #3 Sierra Sweetie my top choice. Never been out of the exacta, jock change from Russell Baze to Victor Espinoza is a positive imo, the filly she has been tangling with - Bai And Bai draws outside today, so she might not be as much trouble. SS has been working well since her last race, has the tactical ability to sit wherever Victor chooses. She should be around when the finish line comes.

Longshot flyer goes to #8 Princess Kinzie. Has shown a little ability in her two lifetime starts, both from post 10 of 10. by the Summer Squall stallion Globalize out of a Flying Paster mare, I think she might find the sometimes troubling distance of 7 furlongs to her liking.

8) Does the red flag go up on the 2 horse Adamant at a short price? #5 T K's Dream has raced very well from outside slots showing speed and just weaking late. A much better post today makes him more of a player for me. #8 Cape Kennedy looks like the one to beat in here, but he must deal with the aforementioned T K's Dream on the front end. Is he that much faster to break on top & run them off their feet? Throw #11 Kristina's B D Boy in the mix for trainer Doug O'Neill & we might just have us a real battle on the front end.

Take a look on track at the first timer #4 Specialist. Works don't look to shabby to me & this isn't the most stellar bunch he could run up against for his debut. Debut stats for trainer Craig Lewis won't get the heart racing or the feet racing to the windows for that matter, but the horse just might. I'll certainly take a look at him on track & if the price is right - he might just turn into my top selection.

Just in case u were wondering after all that rambling who my top selection is as of right now. That would go to #5 T K's Dream :)

Make that 2 a 1 :)
