My wife wants to redecorate my office and she thinks it would be "cool" to make it a horseracing theme. How lucky can a guy be?? :)

Anyway, does anyone know where to purchase some racing pictures? Any types, old or recent will work.

Thanks

I think you can get all winner circle pictures from Four Footed photos.

Check the track web pages for link

Here is a picture of the wall in my office:

I purchased the Thorough Bred Calendar (http://www.thoroughbred-racing.com/) (2004 and 2005) and had them "backed" at Prints Plus.

Total cost was about $12 per picture plus the cost of the calendars.

Came out great.

The thoroughbred racing calendar site has been down all week, I know the ST-Publishing people very well and will put you in direct contact with them if you want a calendar.

I took a lot of pictures myself at Saratoga (had some autographed) and bought others on ebay.

I have purchased two prints from this eBay seller. The prices are reasonable and she is very reliable to buy from. The prints look excellent matted and framed. I have both Secretariat and Seattle Slew in my office.

If you want some high-end, serious horse racing art then you should definitely contact PA member, 46zilzal. He has some great stuff.

I was mistaken about the cost. Total cost was six-dollars per picture plus the cost of the calendars.

These pictures are extraordinary in clarity but in an odd size. Not all the pictures in a given calendar were useable/attractive.

Cutting and trimming was easy but the dolts insist on punching a hole just inside the picture. (They didn't used to do this; the picture had a white border around it and the hole was punched in that.)

Framing is very difficult because they are such an odd size. That is why I went for the unframed look.

IMHO, the 2006 calendar is not as good for this as the past years because each picture has the horse's name emblazoned right across the picture.

Between the two calendars I used, 2004 and 2005, I found 16 pictures I liked. Of those I actually used 14.
