In the late 50's or early 60's James Ponter was commissioned by Stan
Bergstein and the HRI to create some drawings (with bios to be added) of
many of harness racing's celebreties.
Later when the HRI and Stan became part of the USTA, the entire
files/archives of HRI were merged with the USTA files.
Today, hardly anybody seems to either recall or know exactly how many of
the Ponter Drawings were created. Approximately 150.
