I note that for some of these races, it was difficult to determine in advance whether your pick was going to be the post time favorite (e.g., the Aqu race today).

Actually, the AQU was not a play because it was less than 8 horses.

But you are right, sometimes it hard to see the favorite in the win pool, so I will look at the "will pays" in the exacta pool. The dd and pic 3 pay outs can also help pick out the favorite. Some times it's too close to call.
