Wasn't the original edition $75, or is my recollection faulty?

Maybe originally, but not lately. I didn't know until today there was a new edition. Looks like they've added pictures and Beyers.

The edition that I have (few years old) has a $75 price tag printed inside the cover.

I guess sometimes it pays to wait.

I just recieved a catalog from ExclusivelyEquine last week for the first time. Looks like I may order a few things for myself and two gifts I know of. You can check them out on the web, too, just add .com

This one (http://www.racingphotoclub.com/DRF.jsp) looked nice too!

That is, until I saw Joke-a-mo was one of the featured horses, no thanks!

The Golden Post and Decade of Champions are great and both feature Richard Stone Reeves art as Champions does methinks

Here's something I don't get...they offer a DVD of the YEAR IN PICTURES (only see 2004, not 2005).....

OK, maybe it's me, but I would think a DVD of the YEAR IN ACTUAL RACES would be a better seller....you know, gather up some of the best races of the year (and they don't necessarily have to be GRADED races to be GREAT), and sell that on DVD. The V in DVD is supposed to stand for VIDEO.
This DVD looks like nothing more than a bunch of stills with a narrative by Kenny Rice. I see there is no 2005 version being offered....no great surprise there...

I know I would buy a DVD that contained the best races of the year....and I would probably collect them year after year after year.....

You could fit LOTS of races on a DVD....

The Exceller Fund 2006 calendar features some great photography by Patty Yount.

http://www.cafepress.com/excellerfund.35412136

The Calendar has an Exceller Fund horse on the cover (Superhappycombo now renamed Sampson), and Exceller Fund horses for January and December. February through November features such 2005 faves as:
Rock Hard Ten
Sweet Catomine
The Santa Anita Derby
Lost In the Fog
Indian Ocean
Angara and Megahertz
Cesario
Lava Man
Star Over The Bay
Enforcement

Patty takes excellent action shots, and proceeds from the sale benefit The Exceller Fund, enabling us to help provide a better future for Thoroughbreds when their careers on the track or breeding shed are over.

Just ordered the Champions book by DRF Press... of course, I went to eBay and saved 60% (yep, the updated version).

I first got wind of it from the Jay Cronley article on ESPN.com -- BTW, Jay's the guy who wrote the book that became the movie "Let It Ride", and he's a great guy to talk horses with as well -- and I checked out a copy at the book store... man, is it great for those of us that like to read past performances!!! Okay, so I'm a stat geek... so, aren't most real handicappers?
