A 5 year old with only 13 lifetime starts? What's up with that? Why is the horse worth anything as a stallion?

Actually, that's not true.

The connections had second thoughts, apparantly due to his awe inspiring performance in the Cigar Mile, and he will remain in training.

Sounds like the interest in breeding to him wasn't substantial.

I can just see the ad....

" Wanna breed to a horse that was never sound? Do I have a deal for you. "

The horse was trained initially by Ronny Werner. Virtually a guarantee of an abbreviated racing career.

"He’s bred on the bottom side for grass, being out of a Silver Hawk mare, so we’ll give it a shot and hopefully be able to say that’s he a graded stakes winner on dirt and turf."

That is a lot for a Frankel horse, I'm guessing Werner brought the average up.

Werner typically ruins his charges in short order. His talented ones usually run a couple of holes in the wind early, and fall apart soon thereafter.

Frankel is the king of scratches but he can often keep them going for awhile.
