given the erratic nature of Q-horses I was always surprised that there were not more spills...

Los Al..one of my all time favorite venues. Loved old Kaweah Bar: the "Palimino freight train" that won until there was a 10 year old

It seems jockey injuries are as streaky as any other phenomenon, and we're making up for a long "safe" spell right now. Just a perception. I haven't researched it. Kinda scary how much more I love the sport than any other, knowing the risk of catastrophe; and I DO NOT go to see spills, as MAY be the case with NASCAR noodges.

Bad luck runs in streaks. Prankster CF, the nations top 870 quarterhorse, and one of the best "marathon" QH's in recent years, suffered an injury in a trial race Saturday night at LA, and was put down.
