i just got SIRIUS radio and i was excited to find
out they had a "horseracing" show on for 3 hours
every day.....after "trying" to listen to this "show"
i have a feeling it won't be getting an ECLIPSE award.

this show is hosted by JJ GACI,with some lady named
SAM and once and a while a guy named JOHN who is
a bloodstock guy.

the guests are good,STEVE HASKIN,RICHARD ENG and trainers
like KIRAN MCGLAUGHLIN etc.

however, the host JJ usually spends half the show ranting
about NEW JERSEY AND ATLANTIC CITY racing{every thing dies baby that's a fact}or how AFLEET ALEX should be
HORSE OF THE YEAR.

they were talking to HASKIN the other day and he was explaining
how the BREEDERS CUP impacts the voting for HOY.

this lady sam asks STEVE why couldn't they have the BREEDERS
CUP in the middle of the year?
haskin,i'll give him credit, stayed composed, but was clearly irritated
that anyone would ask such a STUPID question!HEY LADY!"EVER
HEAR OF THE TRIPLE CROWN"!when are ya gonna have the breeders
cup,two weeks after the BELMONT!

other than this show, which is "horrible",the SATURDAY SHOW
with DAVE JOHNSON and BILL FINLEY is pretty good.

While it is nice that there is horseracing on satillite radio this show is pretty brutal. If you just listen to this show as your only source of information about horseracing you will think that Tim Richey and Afleet Alex are the second coming of Ben Jones and Citation. The fawning is unbearable. The interviews are usually dull but they do have some live racecalls which is nice.

hey doc,i agree i like AFLEET ALEX,but why are some people
elevating this horse to "legend"...after all,he lost to
GIACAMO in the biggest 3yo race of the year.i do like the
live racecalls,it would be nice if they told you the day before
that they were bringing 8th lrl,5 aqu,etc....then a listener
could handicap in advance.

Agreed.

It's hard to think that three hours of horse-racing a day would be a bad thing -- but that show is brutal.

Do they give live calls?

Gus is supposed to be the only handicapper; JJ was a trainer; John worked for the Magna horse division; Anita works with AA-
" Samm became more and more involved with horses. From cleaning water buckets to mucking stalls she did it all. She also groomed horses and worked with veterinarians, including assisting in surgery. I have applied all my life experiences to the horses and thats helped me grow even more.

Samm ran the Equine Spa and Rehabilitation Center for JJ. Where she rehabilitated many horses for other trainers."
Sounds like they are supposed to be cheerleaders and hosts. Maybe the new fans will enjoy them.

Don't get Toetoe started on J.J, Samm and "Ace" Piesen.

It would do better with live calls of the races like the UK does.
