Computer Help with Error Msg

Got this error today when I logged on

Micfosoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error

Program C:\Windows\System\APD123.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusal way
Please contact the applications support team for more information.

I think that the program might be related to spyware/adware (maybe PacerDMedia installer). Run an anti-spyware program and it should get rid of it. If you don't have one, do a search for Spybot S & D (it's free).

Near as I can tell it is a parasite.

You will need to do a google search for it and try to find a tool to remove it.

It has most likely allready been removed...some utility programs will find it as a trojan others as spyware, not all of them do a very good job at stopping the left over startup....

On the start menu...choose RUN...in the box type in MSCONFIG....when that window pops open go to the tab for STARTUP....find Apd123.exe and uncheck it...hit apply...oklay etc and reboot.

another way is to download the STARTUPCPL (start up control panel) a handy free tool to do these things.
