Picks for Hollywood Sunday:
R1 #5 Sugar Pine-Mullins runner looks vulnerable here. This runner was pretty consistent in Canada, collecting checks at higher levels. Barn is solid and she’ll get an honest pace to run at here.
R2 #4 Bushwacker-It’s been a rough year for him. His first start of the year he tried to step with Lost in the Fog and paid the price. Then he may have sustained an injury, when he was eased, then ran next to last. Has returned with some strong drills, and he fired first time out so he can run fresh. Barn is competent with laid up runners also. My DD key.
R3 #6 Wildout-Theft tactics on the agenda here with P Val. Didn’t run too badly when in her first try at a route distance on the grass.
R4 #5 For the House-Well spotted here after his troubled try against winners. Not a whole lot of early lick in this field so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the lead here.
R5 #2 Smoove-Anticipate a good trip for this one from the inside. Poor last outing can be excused, he may have bounced after a good effort first off the layoff.
R6 #2 Salah Who-Has proven to be a profitable claim for good barn. Versatile runner should get the route distance and stay undefeated at a reasonable price.
R7 #3 Robert E.-Returns to his best game after some failed route efforts. Price will be decent here.
R8 #5 Cotton Bay-Baffert runner should enjoy the added distance. Pace will probably be honest here
