make out tonight's two gubernatorial elections to be some sort of referendum on Bush? It's not like the Republicans in those races were any sort of favorites to win, Bush or no Bush....

Plus, it's only two races....one of them in a Blue state!

Sometimes it just makes no sense....

I agree. Governor's races in NJ and VA really mean squat to the rest of the country. It's a minor positive for the Dems ,but the polls have been pointing in that direction for months. Means little for 2006. A lot can change. Media needs to focus on a heckuva lot more than this.

The media tries to tie Repubs to losers. Both Gov races were already Democrat.
The Ca media did not push the props as a make or break for Arnold until most were sure to lose.
