Race 9 at Hawthorne, #2. I usually don't give out horses going off under 3-1, but this horse should control the race from start to finish.

I wouldn't have given this horse out if I'd known he would get bet down to 1-1 (he was 5/2 when I posted this), although I certainly knew it was a possibility that he'd get bet down. The horse had no excuse at all.

Meadowlands, race 2, keying 1 over 2-3-5-7 in the exacta

#2 had no excuse. I don't understand why #9 got all the play it did, but it certainly ran well enough, barely missing.

4th race at Meadowlands, #6, currently 9/2.

I didn't expect the horse to get off at 9/2, but I was hoping to get better than the 5/2 it ended up at.

After opening a decent lead, it managed to hold on.

Didn't get out well, had to be used hard to get to the lead, and had nothing left in the stretch.

Hoosier race 10, going with #6, currently 12-1.

Got bet down to 6-1 late, ran reasonably well, just getting beat out of second, while no threat to the winner.

Race 8 at Charlestown, betting #5, currently at 5-1. The odds will probably drop a bit.

No surprise that the horse was bet heavily at the end, closing at 2-1. It battled the other favorite the whole way, got headed in the stretch, and came back to grind out a half-length victory.

Race 9 at Penn, betting #1, currently at 3-1.

The horse got bet down to 2-1. It went out to the lead, widened on its own entering the far turn, and won easily without urging from the jockey.

Not sure why I put race 9 for Penn National when the upcoming race at that time was race 7. Count it as you like.
