Well, after watching my cold exacta of Henny Hughes over First Samurai get swallowed up by Silver Wonderboy in the Juvenile, and then watching the three horses I had under Gun Salute in the exotics hit the board in the Turf, I did manage to nail, with my last few dollars, half of the 11th exacta at Laurel (it paid $27.00 or so).
Last year, I would have hit the p4 had Kitten's Joy won the race, and had the exa/tri/super in that race as well. Something about the BC and me have never agreed ever since I decided in 1984 that it would be a waste of time to take my last $6.00 over to the OTB to put on Wild Again in the first classic.
Congrats to those who won, as it's a heck of a day to be handicapping. Great horses at great prices on a great day of racing that didn't drag out (Belmont has no lights so they had to keep the races going fast).
