This movie is loosely based on the life of the filly MARIAH'S STORM who was trained in the midwest by Don Von Hemel.

MARIAH'S STORM was a pretty good race horse as she defeated SERENA'S SONG on one occasion.

But MARIAH'S STORM is now years later after her racing career best known as the dam of the fabulous stallion GIANT'S CAUSEWAY!
