Picks for Belmont Sunday:
R5 #2 Anew-Lightly raced runner won last time he ran a one turn mile. He has run well without the lead in the past and the trainer does OK with this move.
R6 #10 Above Spirit-He’s not really bred all that well for turf, so his poor debut can be excused somewhat. Looking for an improved effort in the move to dirt.
R7 #6 Minnie the Moocher-Hasn’t really repeated her west coast form since her move. Still ran well in her two starts in NJ. Like her here at a probable good price.
R8 #5 Colita-Showed signs of life in his last start when he had trouble. Really loved this oval last year, and any move forward will make him a factor here.
R9 #8 Stevie Ray Gone-The lead seems to be there for the taking in this heat. No name barn will probably ensure a good price here.
