Who is to blame? If it the Nazis, it is because of who they are; if it the cops, it is because of how they were organized; if it the rioters, it is because of how they acted. I say blame should be placed 5%, 15%, and and 80% based on the above order.
Were the Nazis proven right?

Looks that way. The locals were just what the nazis said they were.

Sad, when scum sucking nazis make you look bad. Very sad.

Holy Toledo, Batman!

Ohio Nazis. I hate Ohio Nazis. (too easy, couldn't resist, would have been better if the city was in Illinois though)

As far as I am concerned, the police should have told the Nazis - we can't stop you from marching, but we're not going to risk our officers to protect your sorry asses, so you guys are on your own.

I would have shed no tears if those guys showed up without police protection and were attacked by the gangs. We'd be much better off without the members of the National Socialist Party. Of course, those guys wouldn't have the courage to show up without police protection. So, the gangs rioted and probably made some people think the Nazis were right about the folks in the neighborhood. Its a shame.

Yeah, why in the world would anyone put up protection for nazis???

Why, given WWIII, would we even allow anyone to use the name nazi? Or the swastika symbol? Some things need to be taboo - the hell with freedom of expression. If you express yourself with a swastika, you need a good beating...and worse.

It's a shame the swastika has come to represent the nazis. Check out this link: http://history1900s.about.com/cs/swastika/a/swastikahistory.htm

The swastika is over 3000 years old and has generally been a positive symbol.

But, Tom, you're right... anyone who uses it to represent him or herself as a nazi sympathizer does not deserve to be treated kindly.
