In the 9th at BM today, the winner and double paid the same $21.40. The winner of the eighth was a $2.80 horse and the bettors were Bazed in the 9th hammering #4 ,which ran out, down to odds on. Still, it's strange.

Has anybody seen a double at a track that paid less than a horse in it paid to win?

Same type of thing happened at Los Alamitos tonight. The pick 4 on races 8-11 paid $117.40 and the pick 3 on races 9-11 paid $153.10.

The more notable discrepancy in prices that I can remember happened in Saratoga a Friday night at the Saratoga Harness track and the evening before the Travers. The year was 2000 or 2001. In the first race the favorite won. I don't remember the price. In the second race the winner paid $27.80 to win.

The daily double paid $9.60.

Yeah, that was my autobettor again. Made it myself. Works right about 98% of the time. Pretty high, if I do say so myself.
