Picks for Santa Anita Sunday:

R2 #5 Bubbles Again-Honest runner seems to try everytime. I have knocks against most of the others in here.

R3 #5 Pricely Gem-Dam has dropped a FTS winner and Gomez is hot right now.

R4 #7 Fire Wood-Gets a key jock switch as the T/J combo is hitting at over 40% together. Wouldn’t take too low a price as this may be a sucker horse.

R5 #6 Ranch Hand-Comes out of a race with some hard knockers. Lightly raced runner should be a factor here.

R6 #11 Och Tamale-Might be a sleeper in this heat. He ran figures at this distance that would be competitive in this heat. I like the fact that he runs higher than his claim price for this longshot trainer.

R7 #9 Mr. Splash-Was able to finish well when allowed to set a sensible pace in his last race. Probably won’t be pressured much today in this longer race.

R8 #3 Her Red-Will probably clear early here. Might be tough if allowed to open up.

R9 #3 Ambitious One-Gets both a barn and jock upgrade for this one. Should be tough here.
