Best book for beginner ??

I m french so i don t kow a lot on us racing, i don t need a book for gambling but only for explain me the basics of us horse (how to read pp, read and judge a pedigree....)

Reading a pedigree would be on a bit more advanced level than reading the past performances (in my opinion), but there are also good books on that subject (especially as pedigree relates to turf racing).

Frenchstir. . .get a copy of Ten Steps To Winning. It gives a good view of the major components to master the game. . . pace, class, etc.
