Vidio Problem

Need a little help. When turning on my other puter it beebs 3 or 4 times and no vidio. Worked fine Friday. When I disconnect the vidio cable the screen comes on and shows a no signal message. Could the vidio card in the putter be at fault?

The beeps indicate a POST ( startup error ) Exact number of beeps may identify exact problem.

Quite possibly you have a memory or video card error

The quick and dirty attemp to fix:
- Unplug power
- open up computer
- check and reseat the following - video card, system memory:: , sometimes, especially with an addon video card, they can become slightly out of socket
I have seen exactly the problem you describe be a simple reseating of the video card

always video or ram..........in my experience........any thunderstorms or power failures in the area recently?

No Ralph no bad weather. It got half way on the boot and when I restarted it there was no vidio. That was this morning.

Finally looked at old puter. The vidio card was not seated properly
