:D I'd like to know how many "positives" does it take to get a "greenie". Everyone who reads this please give me a "negative" so that I can get a "reddie". The reason I'm conducting this experiment is to figure out how a first time poster gets a "greenie" and how many "negs" does it take to go from a "greenie" to "reddie". Thank you, I appreciate your help. :D

Yes,

Bush supporters = green = distingushed road & soon to be famous

Those that don't support Bush as often = unknown quanties and needs improvement & can only hope to improve.

So start posting negative about Bush and you'll be red in a hurry.

Its like the YOUNG REPUBLICANS club on this board.

I don't fully get it...

I take it green is good, red is bad, and the grayish, purpleish, box is average?

It say's I'm on a "distinguished road"---even though I don't know anyone from this board....and my style and personality is very anti-likeable.

I see where it shows you the last five comments---three people are all like Eat Shit & Die and calling me baby and coward and everything--than the other two are green and they are like nice info.

It doesn't say who's commenting on what, and it only shows you the last five.

I'm waiting for someone to give me a comment that says "You are a sex machine & I want to wear you out!" I'll even take that comment from a guy.

As for Bush, his popularity is like 30%---I really don't think he can be that loved on this message board---since about 28% of that 30% are probably hardcore religon types----and religion and betting on horses don't mix.

No Day Job?

Explain the Anarchist platform. Seriously, I would like to know.

Anarchism is the absence of government.

My definition: No Gummint, law of the jungle.

Politicians just serve themselves and their friends. They feather their nests via taxes, id est, your money. Who needs them? Only those who are too lazy to fend for themselves. That's why politicians know that wealth re-distribution, except theirs, is necessary for them to retain power. Ex: The former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, North Korea, Fidel's Latin Paradise, all our foreign aid, social security, medicare, porkbarrel bills, et cetera. A pox on all their houses.

O.K., you say what about services that the gummit now provides? Well, how about paying for them directly to providers without the gummint as a broker for re-distribution of your wealth? Nah, that's too simple, wouldn't work, would it?

The least gummint serves best. Our constitution supposedly limited the powers of gummint until FDR packed the Supreme court to put through a socialist agenda. Cicero said, "When the public is allowed to vote it's own largesse, the treasury will soon be empty".

Interesting, NDJ....let me consult my walking friend, a history/political geek with a PhD from Stanford U. She is a conservative....but reads all her "enemies" literature.....such as Karl Marx, whom she finds fascinating!
She is a very detached old lady, matter of fact......she is a conservative, because she says everyone would like to be a liberal in principle....but it never really works in reality.....sort of like when the Berlin Wall fell, and they put up a billboard in East Berlin......"Sorry Chaps, it was just an Idea" with a picture of Karl Marx! LOL :D
You're an interesting guy, NDJ.......you remind me of my friend, except of course you are an anarchist.
I'll get back to you.

I'm still a "greenie". Either nobody is giving me negs or it takes a lot more negs than I thought to turn me into a "reddie". if you're reading this please neg me. :D

these reds and greens represent a popularity contest: what a bunch of crap. People have opinions: there should be no grading. People won't be honest if they are AFRAID of their rating

Anarchy won't work......example the Bolshivic Revolution and the French Revolution.
It just creates more chaos......then a small group has to take charge and you're back to square one.
You're ideas are right....but just like Utopia type society ideas, it sounds great but never, ever works in the real world.
It's against the laws of nature for everyone to be equal.....the survival of the fitest and all.
:bang: :bang: :bang:

I suppose the correct answers always have a question mark at the end of them???????

Of course anarchy won't work, but it'll be no worse than what we have now.

"Then a small group has to take charge and you're back to square one."

That small group consists of 535 people who are supposed to represent their constituents, uphold our Constitutional Republic and protect our country. They have failed. They represent themselves and their contributors. Add to that, more gummint bureaucrats who have no accountability, and you see the mess we are in. The Extreme Court has upheld laws that are clearly unconstitutional. Et Gratia, the income tax, fiat, rico, ad nauseum. We were given a Republic, not a Democracy.

BTW only 4 states ratified the income tax ammendment. That's a whole bunch of states short of a 2/3 majority. :D So I say, Anarchy rules! :D

How many rep points do you have? It seems like we start with zero, but are green. If you started with over 20 or so rep points, it will take you at least that many + some to go red.

Honestly, I think its stupid. I don't care if I'm red (or mauve) in Perpetuity.
I think most (NOT ALL) of the political threads are pure grandstanding. More
like reflexive knee jerks than serious thinking. Ergo: I DON'T CARE HOW
ANYONE HERE VOTES ON MY THREADS. And, I WILL NEVER Rate Anyone's
POSTS with a Red/Green. But if this rating scheme brings a smile to some
lonely face then Keep It going. I'm all for Laughter, no matter what your
politics.

Why not turn this feature off in the off topic arena since it is NOT related to the intent of the board? It isn't consistent to have one's political views SPILL over into one's reputation as a commentator on racing.

I don't think politics plays much into the red square.

I wanted to vote for Dick Gephardt in the '04 election--he was the only one of the Dem's who seemed like a really decent, honest, nice guy who sounded competent and didn't need to try and re-invent himself all the time.

Bush and all the other Dems seemed like frauds to me---except for Dennis Kucinich of course---he isn't a fraud....but man is that dude OUT THERE! He was super unelectable.

Gephardt kind of reminded me of a nicer version of my grandpa. Sort of like gramps in a good mood, and though I wasn't a big fan of his policy, I think we needed a nice old guy like him.

The only reason people like Bush is because he drives liberals bananas!..or because he pretends to be a warrior for all things Jesus. Did anyone actually like John Kerry? He lost nearly all of my support when he picked that worthless fraud senator from NC to be his vice president over Gephardt. He deserved to lose after a gutless move like that.
