Gimme a break. Who is this one supposed to be for?

Before the fuss, pleading and protests broke out, Magna officials were there, asking permission to conduct a spanking brand new exotic bet which we'll call a "Quad-Trifecta," which by its name is easily understandable. You've got to pick the first three finishers, in correct order, for four separate races. The payoffs ought to be in the millions of dollars, if operated correctly. Now the occasional well thought-out exotic bet over the past 50 years has produced huge profits and caused a great prosperity at times. Remember the "Five-ten," "Big Bonanza" and " Double Triple?" They got great publicity, brought out big crowds, but lost favor when the reasonably simple Exacta bet began to proliferate and flourish.
Magna proposed some unique addendums to the Quad-Trifecta. Instead of waiting for the outcome of four successive races, at, say, Laurel, the QT would consist of action all within the period of an hour, based on races in Maryland and at other tracks around the country that day.

The pick 6 was/is popular but didn’t the pick 9 kind of fizzle? Isn’t there a point at which a bet becomes too insane?
