Senior officials in Louisiana Emergency Planning Agency awaiting trial over $60,000,000 in funds that were funneled to the state from FEMA dating back to 1998.

Keith Ashdown of Taxpayers of Common Sense, a Washington watchdog group, said "that recent Louisiana history showed that FEMA money earmarked for saving lives and homes was instead squandered in a cesspool of wasteful spending".
