In Europe many courses list the softness by way of a penethrometer: a device that has a standard weight sliding on another tube. It is dropped at various points around the course and the PENETRATIOn is given a number (higher the deeper the penetration) on how soft or firm the course is. good idea.

OnTV tonight - Most Outrageous Moments on NBC.....they had a clip of three news anchors were making a vegimite sandwhich and tasting it on air.....hilarious! Two of them were bent over behind the news desk spitting it out while the girl was yelling,"News emergenvcy - bring me water!"
