I'm just curious what everyone thinks.

Now they're (the news) saying close to 1,000 in MS alone.

I don't think it'll be 25,000 though.

I say 4500. That's my guess.

A Baton Rouge radio station reported a RUMOR that FEMA ordered 25,000 body bags. Said it was causing quite a stir down there.

Just think Bobby, the more dead, the more you can blame Bush. Maybe MoveOn will let out a little cheer as the numbers get higher, kinda like they do in Iraq.

I posted yesterday that I would take the under 5,000 - it apparently was deleted as a callous post. That was not my intention. My intent was to point out the media hype frenzy. Reports are now coming in that the death toll (thankfully) looks to be well under the dire predictions that the the media put forth based on the "henny penny" screaming of the state and local officials looking to cast blame on the feds for their slow response. What will they all say now that it looks like the death toll will be far less than feared? . . . let me guess . . . that if not for the state and local first response the toll would have been far worse. :bang:
