I think Sam Houston may be a beneficiary. They have a turf course. Oaklawn is an obvious choice but they usually have most of their stalls filled. Quite a few Chicago horseman ship south to the FG and Hawthorne has asked for January dates next winter so those horseman may just not go south. Turfway, with its new surface, could also get some of the Midwestern barns that ship south. GP? It seems like their stalls are usually pretty full; I guess with Payson, Palm Meadows and Calder there could be room for more.

The only thing is some of the big barns that normally winter at the FG also have a division at SHRP, like Asmussen, Calhoun and Stidham.

IF they can't race at FG, i think LAD would be a goood choice.
