Fri., race 10: Superfecta key is 8, Thunder Rain. Maybe I'm overreacting to the rider change, but Jean-Luc to Chantal is monumental. If he finishes in the top four, it may be huge. I have $420-ticket worked out, but no dimes at Saratoga.

Saturday, the ballyhooed pick-four only has 1,470 combinations, about a tenth of the total on a good Breeders Cup Day. At least two races will go to chalk or near chalk. Who needs it? That said, Lesroidesanimeaux looks most easily beatable. Flower Alley looks solid, but he has to be third chalk, as on the m.l., to spice up any exotics.

I noticed a Phil Serpe horse Sat., also. Moron that later.

I always have thought many pros do not play Saratoga as it is an unpredicatble track.
