Arlington TV races

How refreshing it was to watch the 2 stakes races from Arlington Park this past weekend. They or maybe ABC used the European computer overlays images on the track to show the last 2 furlongs stripes as well as finish line.

I always wondered why our networks don't use the technology to enhance the sport. And we wonder why NASCAR kills the NTRA on TV with all the technology they use to follow your favorite.

Interestingly, they used it for the live shot - usually only see it for the Euro replays.

They have something similar in Hong Kong. I think they have the lines chalked across the track.
