Picks for Saratoga Sunday:
R1 #9 Nose the Trade-Takes the plunge. Had tough trip in first start on this circuit. Frequent drills suggest he is probably sound enough to take this crew. DD key maybe because he will be odds on for sure.
R2 #2 Tough and Easy-Tough trip in debut. He got left, then rushed up to be close on the turn before fading. Was well bet, surprisingly because the barn sucks with FTS. Looking for an improved effort with a better break.
R3 #6 Hornshope-His turf efforts are good. Was able to stay close to an honest pace in his last turf effort. He had a tough trip in a big field that day and ran well at boxcar odds. Last effort in the slop can be excused. Has a nice drill since his last.
R4 #4 Coupe Aux Marrons-Dominguez has an amazing win rate with FTS. Dam of this runner has dropped a FTS winner.
R5 Pass-have fun with this one
R6 #8 Fast Laner-Should move up off the claim for this barn. The pace should be honest enough to set up her late run.
R7 #8 A Rose for Chris-Ran well in her last sprint, a stakes at FL where the winner returned to win a statebred allowance here last week. ML fav starting to look like a sucker horse.
R8 #3 Smokey Glacken-Finally finds a field that she can clear early. Was cooked early in her last two, but should find the early going much to her liking today.
R9 #8 Sicilian Boy-Has proved to be an excellent claim. Steps up, but I think the race sets up nicely for his late run. Two of the ML favs have no grass experience, so I’m taking a shot with Bailey here.
R10 #1 Seven Bellsforbaba-Should clear this field early. Gets excellent ES jock Coa today.
