Saratoga's feature race on Monday Aug 1 will be the Bernard Baruch
and trainer Jimmy Jerkens has made a change.
Jockey Richard Migliore will be back aboard Artie Schiller.
Maybe Jerkens is hoping the familiar jockey will bring Better results.
The Bernard Baruch Handicap is for three-year-olds and up at nine furlongs on the turf.Artie Schiller, who has won one of three starts this year all under jockey Edgar Prado, will be the favorite.Artie Schiller two defeats so far this year were by a nose in the Grade 2 Dixie Handicap at Pimlico and by a half-length in the Grade 1 Manhattan Handicap at Belmont Park.
His only win this yr was a stakes race at Keeneland.
He has run well but that defeat had to be disappointing.
Maybe in the Bernard Baruch, Jerkens, Migliore and Artie Schiller will look to get back in the winner's circle, something they did last year at Saratoga with a win in the Grade 2 National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame Stakes. Artie Schiller won that nine-furlong race easily by better than four lengths.
