I've read "Handicapping Magic" and purchased the Handicapping Magician software, but today a friend printed me out the numbers for Evangeline Downs on The Master Magician. I can see where so many members on the this board like it, with all the new features and all. I have a question about the first column titled "Adv." I understand that an 'S' is a snail, 'A' is probably an aberrant number, but there are also 'D,' 'N,' 'F' and 'L.' Can someone help me out with these. Thanks.

D = distance
F = fulcrum
L = layoff

S - A snail, or horse that showed nothing after its initial race after layoff.

A - There is an aberrant rating that was not used.

D - There was a rating in the form cycle window for an odd distance that was not used (ex: 4.5f)

N - A horse that needs the lead.

F - A horse that has not run to the fulcrum pace.

L - A horse that has had layoff issues in the past.

T - There was a turf rating in the form cycle window that was not used.
